Dr. Jacinta Elder
Dr. Jacinta Elder is a Board Certified Internist who received her Doctor of Medicine Degree at George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington, D.C. Dr. Elder holds a Master of a science degree in Genetics from Howard University and also completed sub specialty training in Hematology and Oncology. Due to her varied experiences in healthcare both in academia and then subsequently at the Food and Drug Administration, Dr. Elder is deeply aware of the strengths as well as the areas of Western Conventional Medicine that need overhauling and that have led to health disparities and the steady March of the prevalence of Chronic health conditions. Therefore, Dr. Elder has changed her focus of care toward, health equity, prevention of chronic illness and optimizing health by going back to the basics of all the things such as nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress management and mindset mastery (as examples) that we know improve our health but due to seemingly insurmountable barriers, we are unable to access. Dr. Elder’s vision is for communities where all people are thriving and not just surviving.
