Dr. Lisa Gaye Roberts
Biography
My name is Dr. Lisa Roberts I am a Board-Certified General Pediatrician in Suburban Atlanta. Though her accent would never give it away, I was born in Kingston, Jamaica. I am still an island girl at heart! I grew up in Maryland and graduated with Honors from the University of Virginia. I then went on to attend the University of Pittsburgh for medical school and Stanford University for her Pediatric Residency training. I am a third-generation Black female physician. My mother is an Anesthesiologist and my grandmother was a Family Practitioner. I have a passion for caring for children and I enjoy caring for kids from birth through age 21. One of the things I enjoy the most about pediatrics is that I love to see my patients grow and develop over time. I have a caring ear and feel that listening plays a large role in my ability to help families through the ups and downs of each phase of childhood through adolescence. As children are so highly resilient, I find great job satisfaction in helping kids get better from illness, whether that is physical or emotional. Given the recent pandemic, I am empathetic to the role this has played on my patients’ physical and emotional health. I am fluent in Spanish and enjoy the diverse populations of families I have the opportunity to care for in my private practice.
