Dr. Mariam Ali-Mucheru
Biography
Dr. Mariam Ali-Mucheru is a Board Certified General Surgeon who completed residency and internship at Mayo Clinic Arizona. She went on do a fellowship in comprehensive Endocrine Surgery at University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is one of the few fellowship trained Endocrine Surgeons in Georgia and a member of the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons. Dr. Ali specializes in the surgical treatment of thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal disorders using both open, laparoscopic and robotic minimally invasive techniques. She also has a clinical interest in laparoscopic and robotic general surgery. She has published articles in peer reviewed scientific journals and presented at local and national surgical meetings, and is a member of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Ali attended Medical College of Georgia where she received her Doctor of Medicine and was inducted into the Gold Humanism and Alpha Upsilon Phi Service and Leadership Honor Societies. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Kennesaw State University where she was an Honors scholar, member of Phi Kappa Phi and graduated cum laude.
Dr. Ali enjoys collecting vinyl records and is passionate about mentorship and global health.
