Dr. Comeaux has board certifications in Obstetrics and Gynecology, physician nutrition and Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine. She practices Womens Health with a heavy emphasis on nutrition, wellness and weight management. Her goal is to individualize a wellness and aging plan that is evidence based through educating her patients and providing proven solutions that work.

Besides natural hormone therapy, supplements, nutrition and diet, another modality I employ frequently is PRP. Platelet-rich plasma therapies (PRP) have been used by surgeons for more than 20 years. PRP is a small portion of the blood that is composed of a very high concentration of platelets, which have the ability to repair tissues via the release of growth factors. Growth factors are proteins that initiate connective tissue healing; bone, tendon, ligament regeneration and repair, stimulate the wound healing process, and promote the development of new blood vessels. Initially used in wound management, this therapy has now progressed to it leading-edge use with muscle and tendon injury, as well as cosmetic skin rejuvenation and hair restoration.

The use of growth factors is considered a “new frontier” in clinical therapy. New medical advances now allow us to harness an optimal concentration of platelets and growth factors to be precisely introduced to tissues needing repair. Dr. Tamyra Comeaux offers her unique skill with PRP therapy for aesthetics, scar repair, breast regeneration, and muscle laxity related to pelvic floor concerns.
